In this episode of MWI’s Urban Warfare Project Podcast, John Spencer is joined by three guests. Col. Michael Simmering is the commander of the Operations Group at the National Training Center (NTC) at Fort Irwin, California. Lt. Col. Andrew Steadman, the senior trainer for brigade staffs, and Lt. Col. Neil Myres, the senior trainer for infantry task forces and teams, are both observer controllers at NTC.

In their conversation, the group discusses the urban operations training available at NTC, including the culminating event—the attack on Razish. The group explores the specifics of the Razish mock city and its complexities, and they also share observations based on their experience watching brigades attack the city during each rotation.
