MWI Non-Resident Fellow

Travis Sharp is an officer in the US Navy Reserve and a PhD candidate in security studies at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. His current research projects explore military engagement, cyber security, and defense strategy. Previously, he served as a research fellow at the Center for a New American Security and the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, where he specialized in US defense spending. He has consulted for the Office of the Secretary of Defense-Policy, Office of Net Assessment, National Defense Panel, NATO, and Oxford Analytica. He has published in the Journal of Strategic Studies, International Affairs, Orbis, Joint Force Quarterly, and Parameters, among others, and been quoted by the New York Times, Washington Post, and CNN. Travis holds an MPA and MA from Princeton and a BA from the University of San Francisco.
