Brett Reichert is an active duty US Army infantry officer with experience serving in tactical, operational, and strategic assignments and on the most senior joint military staffs. He is the co-founder of The Defense Policy Initiative, a consortium linking service members in academia to ongoing policy projects across the Department of Defense, and has been a guest lecturer and panelist at Georgetown University and George Washington University. His work has been featured in the Journal of Business and Public Administration Studies, War on the Rocks, Small Wars Journal, and Modern War Institute. He earned a BA from the University of Kentucky and an MPM from Georgetown University. He is currently serving in a Department of Defense fellowship sponsored by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Headquarters, Department of the Army.
