Nonresident Fellow

Cole Livieratos is an Army strategist assigned to Army Futures Command in Austin, Texas. He has previously served with conventional and special operations forces in Europe, Afghanistan, and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Cole is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and his writing has been featured in Joint Forces Quarterly, War on the Rocks, and the Modern War Institute. His research focuses on the impact of civil-military relations on strategy in irregular warfare. He holds a BS from West Point, MA degrees from the University of Hawaii, American Military University, and Georgetown University, and a PhD from Georgetown University.
