Nonresident Fellow

Michael Kelvington graduated from USMA in 2005 and commissioned in the infantry. He served with the 25th Infantry Division in Iraq during the surge. He deployed to Afghanistan with 1st and 2nd Ranger Battalions and the 82nd Airborne Division. He was the aide-de-camp of the deputy commanding general of Joint Special Operations Command, and was selected for the Downing Scholarship. He served as the battalion operations and executive officer of the Regimental Special Troops Battalion, also serving as a joint task force commander. He then became the deputy operations officer of the 75th Ranger Regiment and J3 for a joint task force. He deployed fourteen times in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Freedom’s Sentinel. He now serves as the professor of military science at The Ohio State University.
