Maj. Ben Elliott is the course director for MX400 Officership. He is a strategic intelligence officer in the United States Army. Before coming to West Point, he worked as an intelligence officer at United States Indo-Pacific Command in the executive suite for the J2 director as well as in the analytical division. Maj. Elliott previously served as a fellow at the Director for National Intelligence, briefing interagency partners, members of the National Security Council, and congressional staff members on threats to US persons overseas. His research interests include strategic intelligence, structured analytic techniques, critical thinking, the contemporary threat environment, terrorism studies, the growth of China’s military modernization, and an array of defense and intelligence topics.
