Recently, the Modern War Institute and the International Affairs Forum hosted Dr. Graham Allison to speak to cadets and faculty as part of the MWI Speaker Series. Dr. Allison is the Douglas Dillon Professor of Government at the Harvard Kennedy School and the author of the book Destined For War: Can American and China avoid Thucydides’s Trap?
During his remarks and in a subsequent question-and-answer session discussed the relationship between the United States and China, what a war between the two countries might look like, and what might be done to avoid the type of war fought by countries facing similar power shift dynamics throughout history.
