Last week, I posted a short self-challenge on the site: “Words for War: Seven Great Quotes on War You’ve Never Read.” I wanted to find seven meaningful quotes on war that would be new to most people.  My selections came out of a little blue book I’ve kept since I was a cadet at West Point (roughly 1998); the book contains a compilation of good little sayings I’ve encountered over the years.  It strikes me that I’m not the only one with this type of little blue intellectual storage place.  Which is why I’m posting this Words for War Challenge:

Can you come up with seven meaningful quotes on war that nobody has read?
